This policy explains how Spaeman Hawk Services LLP ("PUNTR", "we"), which operates puntr.in, collects and uses personal data, and the choices you have. We are the Data Fiduciary for this data under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act").
1. What we collect
- Account details: name, email, phone number, password (stored only in hashed form), city, and for brands the company name, website and GSTIN if you add them.
- Creator profiles and media kits: photos, bio, niches, languages, rates, past collaborations, testimonials and statistics you add.
- Connected social accounts: if you connect Instagram or YouTube, the public profile details, follower counts, recent posts or videos and their statistics, and (for Instagram professional accounts) audience insights, so your media kit stays up to date. Access tokens are stored encrypted.
- Enquiries and messages exchanged between brands and creators on PUNTR.
- Payments: payment status, amount and reference from our payment partner. We never receive your full card, UPI PIN or bank login details.
- Usage and device data: pages viewed, device and browser type, IP address and approximate location, used for security and to show creators aggregate profile views.
2. Why we use it
- to create and run your account and show creator profiles to brands;
- to deliver enquiries, messages and service emails (for example verification, receipts and reminders);
- to process payments and keep tax and accounting records;
- to prevent fraud, spam and misuse, and keep PUNTR secure;
- to improve PUNTR; and
- to send news and offers only if you agree, which you can withdraw at any time.
We process your data on the basis of your consent, or for uses the DPDP Act allows without it (such as meeting legal obligations).
3. Who we share it with
Creator profiles and media kits are public by design. Otherwise we share data only with service providers who help us run PUNTR, under contracts that limit their use of it:
- Hostinger (servers in India): hosting;
- Brevo: sending emails;
- Cashfree Payments: payments;
- OpenAI or Anthropic: the AI writer, only when a creator uses it, with the facts needed for the draft;
- Meta (Instagram) and Google (YouTube): only when you connect your account.
We also share data when the law or a government authority requires it. We do not sell personal data.
4. Transfers outside India
Some providers (for example email and AI services) may process data outside India. We use them only as permitted under the DPDP Act and with appropriate safeguards.
5. How long we keep it
While your account is active. After you close your account we delete or anonymise your data within 90 days, except what we must keep for legal, tax or dispute purposes (for example invoices, kept as the law requires). Data from a disconnected social account is deleted when you disconnect it.
6. Your rights
You can access and correct your data, ask us to delete it, withdraw consent, and nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become incapacitated. Use your dashboard or write to grievance@puntr.in; we respond within the time the law requires. You may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
7. Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), encrypted storage of access tokens and keys, hashed passwords, access controls and regular backups. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and secure, and analytics and advertising cookies (such as Google Analytics and Meta Pixel) only where enabled and shown in our cookie notice.
9. Children
PUNTR is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children; if you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes
We will post updates here with the date and tell registered users by email about important changes.

Instagram and YouTube data
Artists can connect an Instagram professional account or a YouTube channel to show live statistics on their profile and media kit. We only do this with the artist's consent, given when they connect the account.
What we collect
- Public profile details: username, name, profile picture, biography, follower and media counts.
- Recent posts, reels and videos: links, captions, thumbnails, publish dates and their engagement figures (likes, comments, views, reach, saves, shares).
- Audience insights Instagram provides in aggregate (for example the share of followers by country, city, age band or gender). We never receive data about individual followers.
- An access token to read this data, stored encrypted. We never post, comment or send messages on the artist's behalf.
Why and how long
We use this data only to display the artist's statistics and content to brands on PUNTR. We keep it while the account stays connected and refresh it regularly. We do not sell it or share it with advertisers.
Disconnecting and deletion
Artists can disconnect an account at any time from their dashboard: the access token and all data obtained from that platform are deleted. You can also remove our access from your Instagram or Google account settings, or ask us to delete your data.
How to request deletion.
AI writer
When an artist asks the AI writer for a draft, we send their profile details, statistics and answers to our AI provider (OpenAI), which writes the draft and returns it to us. Under the provider's API terms this data is not used to train its models. Nothing is published until the artist approves it. Artists who do not use the AI writer share nothing with the provider.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, and withdraw consent at any time, by writing to the contact address on our Contact page. We respond within 30 days.
